NSW: Critical shortage of teachers by 2005
A new report predicts there will be a critical shortage of teachers in New South Wales
by 2005 with the most popular subjects hardest hit.
The report on teacher supply and demand, commissioned by the Australia Council of Deans,
found schools in Sydney's western suburbs and the state's rural areas are expected to
be worst affected.
