QLD: Abbott trial begins
A jury is expected to be sworn in later today for the Queensland District Court trial of
the so-called postcard bandit BRENDAN ABBOTT in Brisbane.
The trial's first day yesterday was taken up with legal argument.
ABBOTT has been charged with the November 1997 armed robbery of a bank on the Gold Coast.
